Scripture in 60: Psalm 145:5

New American Standard Bible:

On the glorious splendor of your majesty and on your wonderful works, I will meditate.

New Living Translation:

I will meditate on your majestic, glorious splendor and your wonderful miracles.

New King James Version:

I will meditate on the glorious splendor of your majesty, and on your wondrous works.

New International Version:

They speak of the glorious splendor of your majesty — and I will meditate on your wonderful works.

Amplified Bible:

On the glorious splendor of Your majesty and on your wonderful works, I will meditate.

Context:

This Psalm is written by David. It is a Psalm of praise to God for his goodness. In the prior verse, he says one generation to another will declare what God does.

Observations:

God is a God of glorious splendor and majesty, and he does wonderful works and miracles.

Application:

We should take time to meditate on God’s glorious splendor, his majesty and what that means for us, as well as the wonderful works and miracles we have seen him do in our lives and in the lives of those around us.
