Scripture in 60: Isaiah 55:11

NASB:

So will my word be which goes forth from my mouth; it will not return to me empty, without accomplishing what I desire, and without succeeding in the matter for which I sent it.

NIV:

So is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Observations:

God’s word goes forth from his mouth, and it returns to him.

It does not return to him empty, and emptiness is not accomplishing what he desires or succeeding for why he sent it.

God’s word will accomplish what he desires, and it will achieve the purpose for which he sent it.

Takeaways:

The word of God is sacred and special. It came forth from the very mouth of God, and it doesn’t just exist as meaningless words on a page.

The word of God is here to accomplish the desire of almighty God and succeed for the reason he sent his word.

Praise God for his word.
