LISTEN
NASB:
“No weapon that is formed against you will prosper; and every tongue that accuses you in judgment you will condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and their vindication is from me,” declares the LORD.
NIV:
“No weapon formed against you will prevail, and you will refute every tongue that accuses you. This is the heritage of the servants of the LORD, and this is their vindication from me,” declares the LORD.
Observations:
There will be weapons formed against the servants of the Lord in this life.
No weapon, which means no physical thing or phenomenon, formed against those who serve the Lord will prosper. This does not mean that we won’t physically die, but it does mean that no one can touch our spiritual lives or eternal inheritance.
Those who serve the Lord will refute every accusation made by man.
This is the heritage and vindication of those who serve the Lord.
The Lord himself made this declaration through the prophet Isaiah.
