NASB:
“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.”
NIV:
“Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.”
Observations:
During the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus teaches the gathered people about how we petition for what we need.
We are given the ability to ask, and if we ask, it will be given to us.
We are given the ability to seek, and if we seek, we will find.
We are given the ability to knock, and if we knock, the door will be opened.
Takeaways:
Do you have a need? Ask for it. Jesus said it will be given to us if we do.
Do you have a longing? Seek after it. Jesus said we will find it if we do.
What about the door before you? Knock on it. Jesus said it will be opened if we do.
