NASB:
Say among the nations, “The LORD reigns; indeed, the world is firmly established, it will not be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity.”
NIV:
Say among the nations, “The LORD reigns. The world is firmly established, it cannot be moved; he will judge the peoples with equity.”
Observations:
Psalm 96 is a Psalm of praise. In verse 10, he describes God as creator and controller of the world.
Our God reigns. He is right now on the throne in control of our world.
The world is firmly established, and it will not be moved.
God is the ultimate judge of the inhabitants of the earth, and he will judge us with equity.
Takeaways:
Take solace in God’s continuing authority. He firmly established the world we live in, and he continues to reign as we speak. Therefore, we should be at peace and rest in him.
Prepare ourselves for the judgment of the world. We will be judged, and God will judge us with equity. The problem is our sin. The solution is Jesus. Let us live in the life he gives us.
