Scripture in 60: Philippians 4:8

NASB:

Finally, brethren, whatever is true, whatever is honorable, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is of good repute, if there is any excellence and anything worthy of praise, dwell on these things.

NIV:

Finally, brothers, whatever is true, whatever is noble, whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely, whatever is admirable — if anything is excellent or praiseworthy — think about such things.

Observations:

The apostle Paul concludes his letter to the Philippians by telling them how to train their minds as followers of Christ.

He gives seven characteristics by which we should test our thoughts.

Is it true?

Is it honorable or noble?

Is it right?

Is it pure?

Is it lovely?

Is it admirable or of good repute?

Is it excellent?

Is it praiseworthy?
