New York Times held to different standard than Kate Smith
Harvard Law professor Alan Dershowitz contrasts the reaction to the New York Times recently publishing a series of anti-Semitic cartoons and the reaction to lyrics that were sung by Kate Smith nearly a century ago. He identifies the major difference between the two being that Smith’s happened during a time when that was commonplace and the Times’ anti-Semitism comes during a period of extreme awareness when it comes hurtful language.
