Scripture in 60: Isaiah 41:10

NASB:

Do not fear, for I am with you; do not anxiously look about you, for I am your God. I will strengthen you, surely I will help you, surely I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

NIV:

So do not fear, for I am with you; do not be dismayed, for I am your God. I will strengthen you and help you; I will uphold you with my righteous right hand.

Observations:

God is telling us about himself through the prophet Isaiah.

He gives us six characteristics about himself and two commands.

Characteristics of God:  God is with us. God is our God. God will strengthen us. God will help us. God will uphold us. God has a righteous right hand.

Commands:  Do not fear. Do not be dismayed (or anxious).

Takeaways:

It sounds easy, but do not fear.

It sounds easy, but do not be dismayed.

We can avoid fear and being dismayed because of God’s presence, his help, his strength, his righteous right hand. This is a promise directly from the mouth of God that he will be with us. Period.
