Scripture in 60: Micah 6:8

NASB:

He has told you, O man, what is good; and what does the Lord require of you but to do justice, to love kindness, and to walk humbly with your God?

NIV:

He has shown you, O mortal, what is good. And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy and to walk humbly with your God.

Observations:

The prophet Micah is laying the sins of Israel before them. After he shows them the errors of their ways, he reminds them of who God is.

The first thing he notes is that we are mortal and God is God.

God showed us what is good.

God requires of us to act justly, to love mercy and to walk humbly with our God.

Takeaways:

Know that we are mortal. God is God and has shown us what is good.

We need to do what the Lord has required of us — act justly in what we do, love mercy and kindness when dealing with others, and walk humbly with God.
