NASB:
And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect.
NIV:
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what Godʼs will is — his good, pleasing and perfect will.
Observations:
In Romans chapter 12, Paul begins to explain how to put into practice all that he has written about previously.
He says we need to begin by having a transformed and renewed mind, which will allow us to test and approve God’s will.
God’s will is good, pleasing and perfect.
Takeaways:
We need to be transformed, and we do that by having our minds renewed. Spending time immersing ourselves in the word of God will renew our minds.
Then, with our renewed minds, we need to test and approve what God’s will is.
