Observations:
The fear of the Lord is mentioned repeatedly throughout the book of Proverbs as the foundation of true wisdom. We cannot begin to be truly wise without fearing God, and that is not a fear that is based on worry but reverence and awe of God.
In this verse of divinely-inspired Solomonic wisdom, he adds that knowledge of the Holy One is the key understanding. This is to search the scriptures and learn about our God.

Fear the Lord. We need to have the holy, reverent fear that is the foundation of wisdom so that we can become truly wise.
We also need to know about God. Devour scripture. Spend quality time in prayer. Grow each day in our knowledge of the Holy One.
