Scripture in 60: John 16:23

NASB:

In that day you will not question me about anything. Truly, truly, I say to you, if you ask the father for anything in my name, he will give it to you.

NIV:

In that day you will no longer ask me anything. I tell you the truth, my father will give you whatever you ask in my name.

Observations:

Jesus is talking to the disciples about their grief eventually turning to joy in the day that he returns.

There is coming a time when we will no longer ask Jesus anything because we won’t need to ask him.

For whatever we need, we are to ask the father in heaven and do so in Jesus name, and he will give us whatever we ask.

Takeaways:

Our day of perfect joy has not yet come, so we must continue to ask for what we need.

We need to have the boldness to ask for whatever we need and to do so in the name of Jesus.

Then when we ask in Jesus’ name, we must believe the father will give it to us.
