Observations:
We are to submit to God.
We are to resist the devil.
If we resist the devil, he will flee from us.
Takeaways:
James is giving us a two-step solution to driving the devil out of our lives.
The first thing we are to do is submit ourselves to God. As James said in chapter 1, verse 22 of his book, we are to hear the word of God and obey it.
We are also to resist the devil. This is done through earnest prayer and fleeing temptation. If we do this, the devil will flee from us.
