Scripture in 60: Proverbs 3:5-6

NASB:

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

NIV:

Trust in the LORD with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make your paths straight.

Observations:

Trust in the Lord with all of your heart.

Do not lean on your own understanding.

Acknowledge the Lord in all your ways.

The Lord will make your paths straight.

Takeaways:

As he is writing Proverbs, Solomon is listing the elements necessary for the Lord to direct our paths.

The first we need to do is trust in him with all (not some, all) of our hearts.

Next, we must disregard our own understanding of things.

And third, we must acknowledge the Lord in all of our ways, in everything we do.

If we do those things, he will make our paths straight.
