NASB:
“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The Everlasting God, the LORD, the Creator of the ends of the earth does not become weary or tired. His understanding is inscrutable.”
NIV:
“Do you not know? Have you not heard? The LORD is the everlasting God, the Creator of the ends of the earth. He will not grow tired or weary, and his understanding no one can fathom.”
Observations:
There is an
God is everlasting.
God created the ends of the earth.
God does not grow tired.
God does not grow weary.
God’s understanding is inscrutable, or it cannot be fathomed by a human being.
Takeaways:
The prophet Isaiah begins this verse by asking the listener how he could have not heard or known about God.
He then describes God as Everlasting and the one who created the ends of the earth, which means created everything.
An important attribute of God’s is, unlike us humans, he does not get tired or grow weary.
And as the Creator of all things, his understanding is completely unfathomable to us humans.
